Health and Safety

[1. Interdisciplinary field that focuses on preventing occupational illnesses and injuries.]
Associates undergo different training dependent on the safety requirements of the area in which they work. It is the Associates' responsibility to follow all safety requirements in regard to work practices and the use of personal protection equipment (PPE). Associates are also encouraged to participate in a Safety Committee, hazard identification and safety improvement activities.
Health and safety are a top priority for American Mitsuba. There are a number of programs and policies in place with the explicit goal of providing a working environment that is as safe and healthy as possible for all Associates. Every facility and all equipment contained within are designed and maintained in compliance with all applicable government regulations.
[2. To foster a safe and healthy work environment. May also protect co-workers, family members, employers, customers, and any others who might be affected by the workplace environment.]
Health and wellness incentives are offered regularly to all Associates in the form of activities such as "Walk the Pond" near the Mt. Pleasant facility, where Associates are entered in drawings for personal days as a reward to engaging in regular physical activity. Monetary incentives are offered for completing an online health assessment, attending an annual physical and reaching certain health measureables.
